44 infants and toddlers were killed in horrible fire in Hermozillo, Mexico
Last month in Hermozilllo, Mexico a horrible fire broke out at a daycare center. 44 infants and toddlers were killed and many more badly injured. According to witnesses, no smoke detectors or sprinklers went off and one of the exits was bolted shut and could not be opened. Rescuers broke down walls to rescue the children. One man even rammed his truck into the wall three times to open a hole. Investigators are still trying to figure out why the fire spread so quickly throughout the building. Some of the surviving children were brought to Sacramento by Mexican authorities and are being treated at Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California.
